The City as a Labyrinth After the first semester, I defined labyrinthine space as a condition created by overlapping boundaries. These boundaries are formed by various elements and together generate their own lived environments. In the second semester, the project began by constructing these boundaries—first by shaping the edges of space, and then by extending them toward residential conditions. The resulting voids function as relatively public spaces, which can further develop into commercial areas. The project proposes two volumetric strategies—Volume 1 and Volume 2—each characterized by different degrees of spatial density and concentration. Overall, Volume 2 offers a more direct response to the central question of how labyrinthine space can be translated and applied within an urban context.
