Inspired by Gravity Staircase at the Leeum Museum of Art, this project explores how light and mirrors can be used to position the human body within a natural phenomenon. Observing how mirrored surfaces and reflected light created the illusion of floating forms in space, the project reinterprets this approach through the imagery of standing beneath a tree, where light filters through layered leaves and branches. By using mirrors to intensify the perception of overlapping foliage and artificial light to preserve a single moment of nature over time, the work seeks to evoke a dreamlike atmosphere in which the boundaries between natural and constructed environments dissolve, allowing the viewer to experience space as something expanded, layered, and immersive.
