Line Dot

2022 · Performance/Installation · Seoul

Line–Dot is a performance that reveals the characteristics of three-dimensional space through the language of ballet. The dancer’s position on stage was rendered perceptible through a four-channel spatial audio system, creating the auditory illusion that sound sources originated from the dancer’s exact location. By inviting the audience onto the stage, the work allowed viewers to experience this spatial sound environment from within the performance space itself.
The dancer’s movements were mirrored simultaneously in both physical and virtual spaces, allowing the performer to exist in parallel realities. These physical and virtual spaces were connected through a grid structure, evoking the sensation of observing a body suspended within a cosmic or orbital space, where movement, sound, and spatial perception converge.
