Line–Dot: Deconstructed is a performance that reveals the characteristics of three-dimensional space through the language of ballet. It is an expanded and further developed version of Line–Dot, originally produced in 2021, in which deeper theoretical inquiry was conducted and reflected in the narrative structure of the performance. The project also explored ways to connect the performance with an accompanying exhibition, allowing the work to extend beyond the stage. In the performance, a dancer exists simultaneously in both physical and virtual spaces. As the dancer moves in the physical space, a virtual dancer responds in real time. The virtual dancers are manifested through projection, revealing their positions and movements, while a four-channel spatial audio system allows the audience to perceive their locations within the space. The number of virtual dancers expands to up to four, and together they dance and interact according to geometric rules embedded within the spatial structure.
