놀고 있니? 쉬엄쉬엄.
Nolmen explores playful space, interactive design,
and cross-disciplinary creative research.
This text marks the direction that has consistently guided my work.
Across architecture, performance, and human–computer interaction,
I have been interested in how space operates not as a passive container,
but as an active interface that shapes perception, emotion, and action.
My background in architecture led me to question
how spatial structures organize movement and everyday behaviour.
Through performance and installation work,
I explored how staged environments guide interpretation and participation.
More recently, my research in HCI and XR has focused on
how mediated spaces—through sound, embodiment, and interaction—
can influence how people perceive themselves and act beyond the moment of experience.
Rather than treating space as context,
my work approaches it as an interactive system—
one that affords agency, constrains possibilities,
and participates in behaviour change.
This trajectory continues toward investigating
how extended reality spaces can be deliberately designed
to reshape perception and behaviour,
and how these effects carry over into everyday life.
My artistic practice explores play, spatial perception, and agency through installations, sound, and interactive systems. By constructing environments that invite participation and sensory engagement, I examine how humans experience space, time, and control within both natural and artificial contexts.
